These cases concerned delays in payment of additional compensation for expropriation and the insufficient rate of default interest applicable (violation of Article 1 of Protocol No. 1). The Committee of Ministers, in its roles as supervisor in the execution of final judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, invited the Turkish government to abide by the Court’s judgment regarding 48 cases violating Article 1 of Protocol No. 1.
Having examined and received the relevant information from Turkey, the Committee of Ministers was satisfied by the payment of just satisfaction awarded to the claimants and decided to close the examination of these cases.
